The cottage is set set in the primrose bay area, approximately 25 miles from Inverness. Aultsigh is steeped in history, built around 150 years ago it once belonged to the Dowager, the mother of the Laird until it was bought by the Forestry Commission and converted into two dwellings. Nearby to the property is the Primrose Bay area which has extensive forest walks leading to open hills and views towards Meall Fuar-mnonaidh.Easily accessible from Aultsigh is the Great Glen Cycleway Cycle Route runing behind the cottage and runs from Inverness to Fort William.
